Sock yarns by REGIA

REGIA is a world-leading sock yarn brand that has been offering woolen sock yarns with high production standards in a wide range of patterns and colors since 1949. The first Regia yarn, produced in 1949, revolutionized the handicrafts industry when they introduced a synthetic fiber in the production of their wool fibers, making socks knitted from Regia yarn last four times longer than those made from pure wool. To this day, this classic composition of 75% wool and 25% polyamide remains an important part of Regia’s success story. While Regia is mainly considered to be a sock yarn brand, their yarn is also perfectly suited for knitting hats, scarves, gloves and sweaters. Passionate sock knitters from all over the world appreciate the guaranteed quality, innovative patterns and unparallelled color selection offered by the REGIA brand. Well-known designers such as the color king Kaffe Fassett, the Norwegian designer duo ARNE & CARLOS, as well as the British artist Dee Hardwicke have all been involved in the design of these yarn patterns. If your fingers are already restless and itching to knit, find yourself a suitable retailer to purchase REGIA sock yarns from.  However, if you have your own store and would be interested in offering the REGIA selection, please get in touch with us.

Sock yarns in many sizes

In the REGIA selection, you will find yarns of different thicknesses, skein sizes and purposes. The thinnest REGIA Uni 2-ply is designed for repairing socks and strengthening their heels. The classic plain REGIA Uni and patterned REGIA Color yarns are available in 4-ply, 6-ply and 8-ply variants. In addition to their classic sock yarn composition, the REGIA brand also produces the REGIA Cotton Color cotton yarn (72% cotton, 18% polyamide and 10% polyester). Depending on the thickness of the yarn and the choice of colors, the skein sizes available are 5 grams, 50 grams, 100 grams and 150 grams.

Nowadays, knitting has been made much easier for us. The REGIA brand entered the market with their new PAIRFECT technology in 2015, thanks to which two identical socks with the same pattern can now be knitted from one skein. The yellow thread at the beginning and middle of the skein indicates when to start knitting the next sock to achieve an identical pair of socks in sizes 36-46.
